The classes of BS Islamic Studies started in 2023 under the administrative control of the Institute of Islamic Studies in University of Layyah (city Campus). Department of Islamic Studies has started BS in Islamic Studies from the session (2023-24). "Islamic Studies is an interdisciplinary field that explores the religion, culture, and civilization of Islam, spanning over 1,400 years. From the revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in 610 CE, to the spread of Islam across the globe, the history of Islam is rich and diverse.

  • The Rightly-Guided Caliphate (632-661 CE) laid the foundation for Islamic governance and jurisprudence.
  • The Umayyad Caliphate (661-750 CE) saw the expansion of Islam beyond Arabia and the establishment of a vast empire.
  • The Abbasid Caliphate (750-1258 CE) was marked by a golden age of Islamic scholarship, art, and culture.
  • The Ottoman Empire (1299-1924 CE) played a significant role in the spread of Islam in Europe and the Middle East.
  • The modern era has seen the emergence of various Islamic movements and interpretations, shaping the diverse landscape of Islam today


  • To educate the students who can analyze modern social science i.e. Economics, Philosophy, Political Science and Sociology etc. in the light of the teachings of Islam.
  • To present scientifically and effectively the truth of the revolutionary teachings of Islam in every field of life.
  • To produce the scholars who are experts of Islamic Education with an exposure to modern scientific, technological and social development.
  • To promote the skills to perform the duties in legislation, research, management, teaching and Islamic Banking.
  • To promote the tolerance, brotherhood, unity among the Muslim Ummah, moderation, broad-mindedness, love with human being and other Islamic values, through academic activities.
