Ms. Asfa Ashraf is serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Layyah. She holds an M.Phil. degree in Sociology with distinction and an M.Sc. degree in Sociology with distinction from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. She has an active academic and research profile, with research articles published in national and international HEC-recognized impact factor journals. Her academic and research interests include Sociology of Health and Medicine, Social Psychology, Quantitative Research Design, Sociological Theory, Disaster Management, Gender Studies, and Sociology of Development. Ms. Asfa Ashraf has also contributed to collaborative research projects with organizations including DOABA, WaterAid, and AGAHE, gaining valuable experience in applied and community-based research. One of her research contributions has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) in relation to policy recommendations, highlighting the practical relevance of her research to evidence-informed health policy and practice. As an educator and researcher, she is committed to promoting critical thinking, strengthening students' research skills, and developing a deeper understanding of sociological concepts and contemporary social issues. She also seeks to contribute to impactful research, evidence-based knowledge, and the academic development of the University of Layyah.
