Formally Inauguration of Day Care Center

Today, the Day Care Centre at the University of Layyah was formally inaugurated in a graceful ceremony. The event was graced by MPA Somia Atta Shahani, who performed the inauguration, highlighting the Government’s commitment towards enabling women to flourish professionally without compromising their family responsibilities.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zubair Abu Bakar welcomed the distinguished guests and reaffirmed the University’s vision of fostering an inclusive, progressive and supportive academic workspace.

Renowned academician Dr. Sadia Anjum also attended the ceremony, appreciating the initiative as a step forward in bridging gender gaps and institutional strengthening.

The event was also attended by Dr. Azhar Abbas Khan, Dr. Zeshan Hassan, Dr. Muhammad Ali, Dr. Umbreen Shahzad, Dr. Qaiser Abbas Jafri, Rashid Iqbal Klasra, and Dr. Tahira Abbas, who appreciated the initiative as a significant step toward supporting working mothers and fostering an inclusive institutional culture.

The inauguration was followed by a tour of the facility, where guests reviewed the Centre’s environment, safety standards, and children's learning spaces — ensuring both comfort and care for working mothers and their families.
